Life On Another Planet?

I never understood how people could dismiss the possibility of life outside Earth.  I mean the universe is huge.  Thinking that we are the only form of life just seems a bit naive.  Have you not seen E.T. or Signs or Independence Day?  Those were all based on true stories, so how are people still denying the existence of outside life?  Well naysayers, suck on this.  A group of astronomers from the University of California and the Carnegie Institute of Washington have found a planet, now named Gliese 581g, that they think 100 % supports life.  It is roughly 3x the size of Earth with the average temperature around -12 degrees Celsius.  The only problem is it’s nearly 20 light years away.  And with our government having a thing against scientific advancement thus cutting NASA funding, it’s looking like it may be quite some time before we get to explore Pandora.  Full story here.
